Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For the first time since purchasing the HP 690-0020 computer I ran into an issue this morning. Not that it's real important and I knew this was going to happen. But appeaantly my computer doesn't recognize my camera when I simply plug the camera into any of the USB slots. Mind you the old system 500 281 anyone could walk up and plug any device into any USB port and the system would recognize the device. Typically this would be our camera, tablet & smart phone. Now nothing..

I set out to find out why this is happening. 98% of those forums or topics I visited have all said they are having the same issue and offered suggestions, which none of these suggestions have worked for us. The point is, Either HP or WIN10 has deliberately created this failed USB driver system which I can't use on this computer. But there is a bright side.

I took an image this morning and wanted to upload to my computer, that's when I realized the USB setup wasn't going to work. I downloaded the camera software and again, even the software didn't or couldn't see the camera. One last glimmer of hope came when I removed the SD card from my camera and placed it into the Front SD slot on my computer.. I was able to locate and download my images.. But seriously, HP or Microsoft.. Do something about this failed or untested plug-n-play setup you use to have on your computers.. Easy is good.. So Make it easy and it shouldn't have to be this hard to do.

In other words.. If one is having an issue with connecting any of their devices to their computer, it has been said that an updated USB cable for your device is required.. Other wise, you'll have to extract the data either by removal of the SD card or with the use of a wifi/wireless connection to your computer..

Technology.. Don't you just love it.
