HP ProBook 4540s NoteBook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

@EngrFBK

Hello Community Experts

I am facing problem with my Note Book PC. I have explored number of resources for solution but without avail. HP Support Assist fails to detect the correct  model and serial number of my device. I know the model and serial number of my device tagged in the battery compartment. All Possible methods to detect model and serial number of my device give me this information 😭:-

Model: HP ProBook 4440s Notebook PC

Product number: ----------

Serial number: ----------

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Version: 18363.47

Whereas, the correct information of my device is:-

Model: HP ProBook 4540s Notebook PC

Product number: D7xxxxx#xxF

Serial number: 2Cxxxxxxx8

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Version: 18363.476

Manually adding device on my dashboard or HP Support Assist does not serve any useful purpose. If I correctly understand; unless right specifications are not flashed in the BIOS chip, the problem is likely to persist. Is there a way, a tool or some firmware utility to edit system information in BIOS chip so that the system detects correct model and serial number of the device? Expert help is requested.
