Product: Office Jet 8600
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am sharing a hard wired 8600 to the HomeGroup. 

 

Computer1 (window7) has this printer connected via USB and the HP assistant will help scan and fax.

Computer2 (window10) is connected to this shared printer via \\Computer1\8600  and can print.  The HP assistant cannot find this printer, so scan and fax functions don't work for Computer2
