HP Scanjet N6350
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a HP Scanjet N6350  which  I understand was  connected on a netwrok in an office.

I now want to use is as a scanner on my PC.

I downloaded the full driver and connected  the scanner with the USB cable.

When I switched it on and tried to scan, the LCD showed 'Scanning........'  for a minute or so.It did not scan and started showing

" Hardware Errror"

on the LCD screen.

I bought new USB cables to connect the Scanner and my computer, thinking it could be a faulty cable... this also did not help.

I even tried to reset by pressing the reset button on the scanner .. still the same.

I would like to also mention here that  when the scanner is started, it sometimes shows two computer numbers, which are possibly the computers on the network which the it was being used earlier. I tried to delete them, but could not do so.

Can anyone help please.
