Product: HP 4650

I'm on the HP Instant Ink program and just installed the black cartridge with no problem.  I thought i would wait since the tricolor felt like it still had life in it.  When the alignment test ran the cyan looked a bit faded so I thought I'd just install the tricolor.  No test printed HOWEVER I got the message "one of your cartridges has a problem".   Nice.  I reinstall the tricolor (several times) then reinstall the black and still get the same message.  I have turned off the computer and waited a while.  I even tried putting the old tricolor in to no avail.  Do I have a faulty Tricolor?  My account says the black cartridge was installed but the tricolor does not show installation.  Need to print.
