HP Recommended

Hi - I'm having the exact same problem with my 8600 printer.  I've purchased cartridges in the past from Amazon, and evidently they were (unbeknownst to me) for the European region, even though I live in the US.  I just bought cartridges from Walmart, and they won't work.  I'd like to contact HP support to go through the "regionalization reset" process, but I can't get a phone number for U.S. support.  It requires me to put in my Printer serial #, it tells me it is not still under warranty, and therefore won't give me a phone number to call.  The whole thing is very frustrating (and doesn't put HP in a very good light, to say the least)!  Could someone help me with getting a support phone number to call.  Thank you.
