Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP PageWide Pro 577dw, and I would like to know if there is an EASY way to scan both sides of an ID card so they appear on one page (on the same side)?  This printer has a "Copy ID Card" feature that does this for an actual print out, but (to my surprise) there doesn't appear to a similar operation for scanning. I know I could just scan the "Copy ID Card" printout after, but that's an extra step and a waste of paper and ink.  So I'm hoping there's a better way.

Assuming the answer is no (which I expect), how likely is it that HP will come out with an update that would add a "Scan ID Card" option?  There are some HP MFP's that do have this, so it doesn't seem unreasonable.

Thanks for any feedback on this.
