I have seen several posts here on the forum. Unfortunately all just 'dead ended' into incorrect/no answer or the classic  "Thread is locked".

I have a fast (U3) 500Gb micro SD. that is formatted correctly. Additionally I have made it bootable and set the boot flag in G-Parted. The BIOS on the stream is not seeing the card at all. Once I boot to the OS though, the card is immediately seen along with its contents.

I need to be able to boot and load an OS from the SD card, as the soldered hard drive is too small to hold any type of OS and take updates.
