EliteBook 840 G8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I'm facing some issues with the EliteBook 840 G8 while installing them via Software Deployment (Ivanti DSM)

During the deployment, the EliteBook 840 G8 models (an others e.g. x360 830 G8) are going into Modern Standby (looked it up with powercfg /sleepstudy)

I'm always stumbeling upon both registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power] CsEnabled=0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power] PlatformAoAcOverride=0

But sadly, the standby of our Notebooks breaks like the author of this post on reddit writes:

"Warning: if your laptop is newer than 2019, there is a high chance, your OEM removed any S3 code from the bios, and your laptop will crash entering S3 and you have to force hold power key to restart and then delete the registry entry again to revert back to modern standby"

Is there an othere temporary solution?

Best regards

Daniel
