I´m using HP 3D scanner (5.2.1).
I´m scanning a bust on a turntable that is not connected to the software.
I´ve got good scans.
The trouble comes with the alignment.
I align pair by pair:
When done with all the pairs, after Global Fine Registration I get this:
As I go to fusion step, the result is bad as you can imagine: the man with 5 heads ...
I found a solution to get a solution to get a good result:
After each pair alignment, I combine both scans of the pair and so on ...
But I am sure there is a quicker way ...
Could you help please ?
Thank you very much !

Not sure if i can help but it's necessary to do the steps in correct order.
1. You scan full 360 rotation with enough over lap. Finally you get scan1, scan2, scan3, scan4, etc.
Based on my experience you have about 12-20 scans per rotation.
2. You perform the "free" scan alignment in the following order:
1st to align scan2 with scan1.
2nd to align scan3 with scan2.
3rd to align scan4 with scan3.
finally to align scan 12 with scan 11.
3. After successful "free" alignment (step 2.) you select all aligned scan's - representing full 360° rotation - and then perform the global fine registration.
This should be the right sequence. Hope this helps.
