HP Capture Stage supported from HP Structured Light Scanner v5 ???

Is HP 3d Capture Stage turntable supported from HP SLS 3d Scanner (David 5)?
I saw youtube video with HP SLS (David 5) 3d scanner on HP Sprout using the HP 3d Capture Stage turntable for automatic scanning.
Is it officially supported?

Hello,

capture stage is not supported by SLS systems. It works with HP 3D Scanning software and Sprout only. HP 3D Automatic turntable and old DAVID turntable are both working with original DAVID and HP 3D Pro S2 and S3 systems and Sprout.

I'm confused, since here is a review and video that clearly shows the HP 3D Scan Pro 5.2.0 (Ex DAVID v5) software controlling the HP Capture Stage:

Are you saying that the HP 3d Scan Pro v5 software actually does support the HP Capture Stage.

BUT that this already-built-in functionality has been deliberately disabled when using this software with an SLS system — simply to force those customers to puchase the much-more-expensive HP Automatic Turntable instead???

Hi 

To clarify, if you are using the Scan Pro SW on Sprout (pre installed) then the capture stage will work with Sprout and the Scan Pro software.

I don't believe the HP 3D Automatic Turntable Pro, the accessory for the dedicated 3D scan solution will work with Sprout if you are using the Sprout settings from the drop down box, however if you have the Scan kit (seperate cameras, projector etc..) and choose from the drop down box SLS 3 (for example) then the capture stage won't work but the HP 3D Automatic Turntable Pro will.

 Capture Stage was only manufactured to work with Sprout, originally with Generation 1 of Sprout. I assume that the support of the capture stage with Gen 2 and the Pro software it ships with is to allow users who originally had a Gen 1 unit, not to buy a new turntable as they upgrade the main unit.

comparing the 2 against each other, the HP 3D Automatic Turntable Pro is a much more solidly built turntable, with calibration degrees etched into the side of the unit. It also does not tilt. Capture stage does tilt (because the camera is static on Sprout). 

Capture stage has only been an accessory to Sprout, never to the Pro kit
