Hi:

 

Your PC comes with 2 x 2 GB of memory according to the parts list at the link below:

 

HP PartSurfer

 

You can remove both 2 GB memory chips and install 2 x 4 GB memory chips, but you must use a very specific memory type:

 

One of these 3 options should work.  The first one seems to be your best option.
