I purchased this laptop from Dubai in October 2025 and had global warranty. I then moved to India. The laptop's battery has swollen and that has caused a crack on the back panel of the laptop. I contacted hp support in India & shared the photos. The complaint was approved and engineer was assigned. No one visited my place. When I contacted the service centre, they told me that this part is not available in India.
It is not possible for me to go to Dubai just for the laptop. If i have global warranty, it is the duty of hp to get it repaired.
Kindly help me in this matter. Please export the battery and panel to India.

Hi @Adeeba96

This is what the global warranty says. Unfortunately, if your model is not sold in India, you cannot receive service.

If I get the laptop to Dubai, will my battery and back panel be changed for free?

HP Recommended

Yes, they must do so. The warranty is valid for one year.

But how can the battery swell in just 3 months. Is this the service of hp?

Batteries of other company's laptop do not swell like this.

Dear HP Support Team,

I am writing to request urgent warranty support for my laptop, which
is still under valid warranty coverage.

Device Details:
Model: HP OmniBook 5 Flip 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-fp0000 (B09FFAV)
Purchase Location: Dubai, UAE
Purchase Date: October 2025

Within approximately 2–3 months of normal usage, the laptop battery
swelled, which led to cracking and deformation of the back panel. This
is a serious safety concern and appears to be a manufacturing or
hardware defect.

I am currently residing in India. When I contacted HP India support, I
was informed that service cannot be provided here as this model was
launched only in the Middle East region. As advised, I have now sent
the laptop back to UAE, and it is currently with my cousin in Sharjah,
UAE.

Since the device is still under warranty, I request HP to kindly:

• Confirm active warranty status and coverage for this defect
• Arrange authorized inspection and repair/replacement under warranty in UAE
• Share details of the nearest authorized service center in or near Sharjah
• Provide clear next steps to complete the warranty claim process

Given that this issue occurred well within the warranty period and
involves battery swelling (a potential safety hazard), I request
priority handling of this case.

I have attached:

Photos showing battery swelling and back panel damage

I can share the current device location details in Sharjah if required.

Kindly help resolve this issue at the earliest.
