HP All-in-One - 24-g216

I have a HP PC that contains a CPU that doesn't meet Windows standards for an upgrade to Windows 11. The cpu is

Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU J4205 @ 1.50GHz. Where can I find what CPU I can upgrade my PC with that will be compatible with my system.

@ORman1,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

The HP All-in-One - 24-g216 has a soldered Intel Pentium J4205 processor, meaning it cannot be upgraded since it's permanently attached to the motherboard. Unfortunately, this means you cannot swap any processor, let alone a compatible Windows 11 processor.

Options for Running Windows 11 on This System:

Since an official CPU upgrade isn’t possible, you have two choices:

  1. Use a Bypass Method to Install Windows 11

  2. Stay on Windows 10 (Supported until October 2025)

    • If the PC is working fine, Windows 10 will continue getting updates for a while.

Kind Regards,
