Hi @Yepea
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand you're having trouble turning on the camera on your HP Laptop 15. I'll be glad to help.
Kindly try the following steps:
- Check if your laptop has a webcam privacy shutter or camera key and ensure the camera is not physically blocked. HP notes that some notebook models include a privacy switch or shutter key that can disable the webcam.
- Open the Camera app in Windows and check if the webcam displays an image.
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and ensure camera access is enabled for Windows and your applications.
- Open Device Manager > Cameras, verify that the HP camera is enabled, and update the camera driver if needed.
- Restart the notebook and test the camera again in the Camera app, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.
