Can not turn off overlay helper permanently even after uninstall omen

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Omen Overlay Helper!  

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Follow these steps to permanently disable it:

End Process via Task Manager

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  2. Look for OMEN Overlay Helper in the Processes tab.
  3. Right-click and select End Task.

Disable from Startup Apps

  1. In Task Manager, go to the Startup tab.
  2. Find OMEN Overlay Helper.
  3. Right-click and click Disable.
  4. Restart your PC.

Check Scheduled Tasks

  1. Press Win + R, type taskschd.msc, and hit Enter.
  2. In the Task Scheduler, look for tasks related to OMEN.
  3. Right-click and select Disable or Delete.

Reinstall and Properly Uninstall

Download the OMEN Gaming Hub from the HP official site.

Install it again, then uninstall it properly via:

  • Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub
  • Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub

Restart your PC.
