@Strevs, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like you might be dealing with a printing settings issue or possibly a driver problem. Let's troubleshoot it step-by-step:
Check Printer Settings in Word
Open the document in Word that you’re trying to print.
Go to File > Print.
Under Printer, ensure the HP DeskJet 2810e is selected.
Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
In the settings window, look for an option that says "Color" or "Print in color." Ensure it's set to Color instead of Black & White or Grayscale.
Check Printer Settings (On Your Computer)
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (on Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (on Mac).
Right-click or Control-click on your HP DeskJet 2810e and select Printing Preferences.
Ensure you have the option set to Color. Sometimes, the default might be set to Black and White or Grayscale, which would cause only black ink to print.
Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
