HP Pavilion m9077c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to access the boot menu for my desktop Pavilion m9077c.

I have tried ESC, F10, F11 and F1, but none of these gets me to the boot menu, only continues to boot the computer up.

What else can I try??

F9 should get you into the one-time boot options menu.

If that doesn't work, then something is wrong with your PC.

That did not work!

The blue HP screen shows <ESC>, <F10 SETUP> and <F11 SYSTEM RECOVERY>

The Pavilion manual refers to F1

and F9 doesn't work also.

So W10 is becoming obsolete and my attempts to set up a dual boot with Linux has completely stalled.

The computer seems to be working fine, so what could be wrong with my PC?

I would have no idea.

If your PC has PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports and you are using a USB mouse and keyboard, you may want to try a PS/2 KB and mouse because some of those old PC's won't let you access the BIOS with a USB KB and mouse.

Would a W10 reinstall help?

I don't know how you would be able to do that if you can't get to the boot options menu to boot from a USB flash drive or DVD.
