Hello! I am not familiar with computer/laptop connections, but I was wondering if it is possible to connect my MacBook to my HP computer?

Do not call any phone numbers shown in any of the below videos or revealed by a Bing or Google search unless it is an HP site or video.

Yes, you can share files between a MacBook and a Windows PC using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, an external drive, or cloud storage. [1, 2, 3]

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi [1]
  • Turn on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi sharing on both devices
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to enable file sharing
External drive [2]
  • Use an external hard drive or USB flash drive
  • Format the drive with the exFAT file system so both macOS and Windows can write to it
Cloud storage [3]
  • Sign in to the same cloud storage account on both devices
  • Upload files to the cloud on one device and download them on the other
File sharing on a Mac [4]
  1. Turn on File Sharing
  2. Click Options
  3. Turn on Share files and folders using SMB
  4. Select the checkbox next to each user account that needs to share files
  5. Enter the passwords for those users
  6. Click OK
File sharing on a Windows PC [5]
  • Turn on file sharing on the Windows computer
You can also use iTunes to transfer files between a Mac and an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. [6]
