Hi @Asdf850,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I Understand your concern about  RAM issue, don’t worry let me help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Do you notice frequent system crashes, blue screens, or random restarts?
  • Is your computer running slower than usual, or do applications freeze often?
  • Have you recently upgraded or replaced your RAM modules?

Here are a few quick troubleshooting steps you can try before we look into repair options:

  1. Reseat the RAM modules: Power off your computer, unplug it, and carefully remove and reinsert the RAM sticks to ensure they’re seated properly.
  2. Run Windows Memory Diagnostic: Type Windows Memory Diagnostic in the Start menu, run the test, and check for errors.
  3. Check for dust or debris: Sometimes dust buildup in the RAM slots can cause connectivity issues.
  4. Test one module at a time: If you have multiple RAM sticks, try booting with one at a time to identify if a specific module is faulty.

Regarding repair costs, they can vary depending on whether the issue is with the RAM itself (which may need replacement) or with the motherboard slots.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
