@Russell_D-6, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
The error you're seeing:
C:\Windows\SystemApps\MicrosoftWindows.Client.AIX_cw5n1h...
AIXHost.exe - The application is exiting and cannot service this request
is related to AIXHost.exe, a component of Windows system apps responsible for handling certain user interface elements in Windows 11. This issue can occur due to:
- Corrupted system files
- Conflicts with third-party software
- Incomplete or problematic Windows updates
- Driver incompatibilities
Here's how you can resolve it:
Step 1: Run System File Checker (SFC)
- Press Windows + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin).
- Type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow
- Wait for the scan to complete and follow any instructions if issues are found.
Step 2: Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install all available updates.
- Restart your notebook.
Step 3: Repair Windows Components via DISM
- Open Windows Terminal (Admin) again.
- Run the following commands one by one:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Step 4: Update HP Drivers
Use HP Support Assistant or manually update drivers:
- Download HP Support Assistant: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Or visit your notebook’s support page: Official HP® Support
Step 5: Optional - Reset the App
If the issue persists, you can try resetting the app:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for MicrosoftWindows.Client.AIX (if listed).
- Click Advanced options > Reset.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
