I use F1-F12 keys therefore FN Lock should be enabled and FN Lock LED is always on.

It is very annoying. I had to put a sticker over the key.

Could you please add a setting in BIOS to reverse FN behaviour?

It's a common problem, there are other users with different laptops complaining.

Anyway, HP Omnibook X Flip NGAI 14-Fm0707nz

Hi.

Unfortunately the BIOS in the video is different than mine.

On my laptop if I want to use F1-F12 keys instead of hotkeys, FN Lock should be enabled (manually or automatically from BIOS) and FN Lock key LED remains lit.

You must change BIOS,  adding an option to disable FN Lock key LED,

As written, I had to cover the LED with tape.

Hi @Philsan69.

Thank you for getting back.

In this case, you’ll need to wait for a future BIOS update, at present, there is no option to disable or inactivate the FN Lock LED on your HP Omnibook X Flip. Your feedback has been noted and will be passed on to the concerned HP engineering team.

For now, please keep your system updated via HP BIOS updates and HP Support Assistant.

Your input helps HP prioritize improvements like this.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Thanks for the reply.

I really hope the issue will be fixed, there are a lot of programmers and pro users that use F1-F12 keys and don't like the always lit FN Lock key led.

Hi @Philsan69,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

We completely understand your concern, many programmers and professional users rely heavily on the F1–F12 keys and find the always‑lit FN Lock LED distracting.

Your feedback has been noted, and it helps us highlight the importance of adding flexibility in BIOS settings for advanced users.
