HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 (267R4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Brought in hp Envy x360 m Convertible 15m-eu0033dx to Geek Squad for diagnostic consultation, after following the steps to do a hard reset. They recommended I call hp manufacturer for a reimbursement because of its faulty motherboard. Is it replaceable? I’ve only used it for approximately one year (warranty expired).

Laptop would not power up even with charger attached.   Took to a reputable it tech and he found the motherboard is bad.  This laptop is baby'd so how does that happen?  It's practically new.

@Wigditty72, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Envy!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand how frustrating it must be to have your HP Envy x360 not powering on, especially since you’ve taken great care of it. While I respect the IT technician’s assessment, let’s go through a few quick troubleshooting steps to rule out any other possible causes.

1️. Try a Different Power Adapter & Outlet – If possible, test with another compatible charger and plug it directly into a different wall outlet (avoid using a surge protector).

2️.  Perform a Hard Reset – Sometimes, residual static buildup can prevent the laptop from turning on. Here’s how to do a hard reset:

  • Disconnect the charger and any external devices.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
  • Release the button, reconnect the charger, and try turning it on.

Could you try these steps and let me know what happens? This will help us determine the next course of action. Looking forward to your update! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
