HP Laptop model numbers

I have been using HP computers for well over 20 years and have always been able to go to the HP website and find my models, even older ones. I am now looking at buying a new laptop and have looked at few and taken down the model numbers of ones I am interested in and have gone to the HP website to get the detailed specifications for them but none of them are found when I put in the model number and am not sure why. Many of the specifications are shown in the store's description but not all. I;m not sure how to get the specifications for specific laptops I come across.

HP has made it very difficult to find the information regarding model numbers of PC's.

Now they usually have a product number in a model series that may cover dozens of individual model numbers/product numbers within the general product number.

The best way to find information would be to enter either the model number, or if you have it, the product number in the search window at the link below and it should provide the parts list for the PC.
