HP Pavilion 31.5 inch All-in-One Desktop PC 32-b1000i (6J6L4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Pavilion, 31.5 inch screen, and all of a sudden I see a orange blinking light at the base of the pedestal stand.  I have no clue what this is about.

@PJR-1, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The orange blinking light on your HP Pavilion All-in-One Desktop PC 32-b1000i usually indicates a hardware or power-related issue. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:

Check Power Connection: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the desktop and the power outlet. If it's loose, it could trigger an orange light.

Check for Overheating: The orange light could signal an overheating problem. Make sure the system is well-ventilated and not blocked. You can also check the CPU and GPU temperatures using system monitoring tools.

Reset the Power Supply: Unplug the power cord, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Try turning the PC on again to see if the issue persists.

Check for Error Codes: If the light is blinking in a specific pattern (e.g., blinking orange several times), this may be an error code that corresponds to a specific issue. Consult the product manual for any LED error code explanations.

Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the PC, disconnect all peripherals (keyboard, mouse, external drives), and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. Afterward, reconnect only the power cable and try starting the computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
