Hi @Uese,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you are having trouble downloading the system image to a USB stick using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, here are some possible troubleshooting steps you can follow:

Check USB Compatibility:

  • Make sure the USB stick is formatted correctly. It should be FAT32 or NTFS format.
  • Ensure that the USB stick has enough storage space to accommodate the system image.

Use Compatible USB Ports:

  • Connect the USB stick to a USB port directly on the computer instead of a USB hub, as hubs can sometimes cause issues.
  • If possible, try using a different USB port on your computer.

Internet Connection:

  • Verify that you have a stable and sufficient internet connection while downloading the system image.

Admin Rights:

  • Run the HP Cloud Recovery Tool with administrative rights. Right-click on the application and select "Run as administrator."

Disable Security Software:

  • Sometimes security software like antivirus or firewall can interfere with the download process. Try temporarily disabling these applications to see if the issue persists.

Check for Errors:

  • If there are any error messages, note them down, as they can provide specific information about the issue.

Update Software:

  • Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. Check for updates and install them if available.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
