I am sorry to hear that  your HP PC is displaying an "HDD not found" error and is not booting, yI would request you to please follow the steps:

 

Step 1: Restore BIOS Default Settings

  1. Turn off the computer and wait for five seconds.
  2. Press the power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to save the changes and exit the BIOS.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, and then press Enter when prompted to exit saving changes.

Step 2: Update the BIOS

Step 3: Perform Hard Drive Symptom Test in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly.
  3. When the menu is displayed, press F2 to access HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  4. Click on Symptom Tests from the main menu.
  5. Select Hard disk/SSD drive issue and press Enter.
  6. If the test passes, but issues persist, run the Extensive Test.

Step 4: Reinstall Windows on the Hard Drive

  • Reinstall Windows through the Windows Recovery Environment (F11) or using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
  • Follow steps from the document HP PCs - Reset the computer
  • Use HP Cloud Recovery Tool for your PC model:
