Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my HP laptop where it keeps freezing on the startup screen right after a recent Windows update. It doesn’t fully boot into Windows — it just gets stuck with the loading circle. I’ve tried restarting multiple times and also attempted going into the recovery menu, but nothing seems to work so far.

Has anyone experienced this issue before?
What troubleshooting steps would you recommend — BIOS reset, system restore, or maybe updating drivers from Safe Mode?
I really appreciate any help or suggestions.

Also, sharing a useful resource I work with that might help others here:

Thanks in advance!

Hi! I’ve seen similar issues happen after Windows updates. A few steps you could try:

  1. Boot into Safe Mode and uninstall the recent update that might be causing the problem.

  2. Run a Startup Repair from the recovery menu to fix corrupted boot files.

  3. Update BIOS and drivers if you can access Safe Mode — sometimes outdated firmware causes freezing.

  4. System Restore to a point before the update can also resolve startup issues.

Start with Safe Mode and Startup Repair first, as they’re usually the safest and quickest fixes. Hope this helps!
