@Shershe, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check the Printhead and Ink Cartridges
Ensure the printhead is properly seated: Sometimes the printhead may not be properly installed, even if it appears to be. Gently remove and re-seat the printhead to ensure it’s aligned correctly.
Inspect the printhead for damage: If the printhead is physically damaged, it may need to be replaced. Check for cracks or other signs of wear.
Check the ink cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are installed properly and are not damaged. Sometimes an issue with the cartridge can cause a printhead error.
Perform a Hard Reset
Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
Wait for about 1-2 minutes to ensure any residual power is discharged.
Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
This can sometimes reset the internal circuits and clear the error.
Reset the Printer's Printhead
With the printer turned on, open the printer cover and remove the printhead and ink cartridges.
Wait for a few minutes and then reinsert the printhead.
If the printer prompts you to install the cartridges, do so and then close the cover.
Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
