Try these steps:
Check for Error Codes:
- Look at the control panel display for any error codes or messages. Refer to your printer manual or use the HP Smart app for error descriptions and steps.
Cartridge Inspection:
- Ensure that ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink. If necessary, replace cartridges with genuine HP ones to avoid compatibility issues.
- Clean the cartridges' contacts gently with a lint-free cloth if the ink alert light blinks.
Paper Handling:
- Check for paper jams by opening the cartridge access door and cleanout areas. Remove any stuck papers carefully.
- Ensure paper is loaded correctly in the input tray.
Network Troubleshooting:
- Ensure that your wireless network is functioning correctly.
- If the wireless or Wi-Fi Direct light blinks, use the Wi-Fi and Information buttons to run a wireless test and check the network configuration page for error details.
Restart Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on to reset.
Software and Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer firmware and software are up to date. You can do this via the HP Smart app or the embedded web server (EWS).
