Hi @Tiffy04,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re looking for a rechargeable pen that’s compatible with your HP OmniBook X Flip NGAI 14" 2-in-1 Laptop (AMD Ryzen AI 5, 512 GB SSD, Meteor Silver). Let’s go through a few steps to help you choose the right one.

Check Pen Technology Compatibility
The HP OmniBook X Flip supports the Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) 2.0.
This means you’ll need a stylus that uses MPP 2.0 for full pressure, tilt, and palm rejection features.

Recommended HP Pen
The best option is the HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen (part number N44378-001).
It’s rechargeable, supports tilt, and is officially designed for HP laptops with MPP 2.0 compatibility.

Alternative HP Option
You can also use the HP MPP 1.51 Pen.
It may work on your model but might not support tilt or advanced pressure features like the MPP 2.0 version.

Third-Party Compatible Pens
Pens like the DQ100 Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen are also compatible.
These are rechargeable and support MPP 2.0, but performance may vary slightly compared to HP’s own pens.

Avoid Non-MPP Pens
Do not use pens that mention “AES,” “Wacom,” or “USI” technology.
These are different protocols and will not function with your HP OmniBook X Flip.

Charging and Pairing
The HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen uses USB-C for charging.
Simply charge it fully, press the top button to wake it, and it will work automatically when you touch the screen—no Bluetooth pairing needed for writing or drawing.

I hope this helps.
