@Ofersan1, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP Smart Tank 519 printer is experiencing issues with the yellow color not printing and the overall print quality being compromised, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Check Ink Levels and Refill the Tanks
- Ensure that your ink tanks have sufficient ink levels. Low ink levels can affect print quality. If the yellow ink is low, refill it using genuine HP ink.
- On the control panel, check for blinking ink icons, and fill any tanks that are low on ink.
2. Check Paper and Print Settings
- Paper Type and Condition: Use appropriate paper for your print job. Some papers may not absorb ink properly.
- Print Side: Load the paper correctly, typically the smoother or glossy side should face the print side as per your printer model.
- Settings: Check the application settings for color, paper type, paper size, and quality. Ensure these settings are correct.
3. Clean the Printhead using HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app and select your printer by clicking the image of your printer to open settings and management tools.
- Under Tools, click "Print Quality Tools," and select "Clean Printhead" or "Clean."
- Follow the prompts to complete the process. If required, perform a second-level and third-level cleaning.
4. Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page
- Use this page to evaluate print quality. Look for issues such as missing colors and white lines.
- Press and hold the Color Copy button on the printer control panel for a few seconds to print a diagnostic page.
5. Align the Printhead
- Use the HP Smart app to align the printhead:
- Load plain white paper into the tray.
- Click the image of your printer in the app, go to "Tools," and select "Align Printer" or "Align Printhead."
