Upon start up, I am getting a notice to update the display software.  When I click on the "Down load here" icon I get a "Not Found" page.

This is the link provided by HP: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/HP/DC/HPDC_Service_4.9.5.0.exe

Hi @OliverJr,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

Does it show up every time you start your Omen, or only occasionally? And have you recently updated Windows or your graphics drivers?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try in the meantime:

  • Skip the broken link: Since the provided FTP link isn’t working, you can go directly to the https://support.hp.com/in-en  and search for your exact model (Omen 15‑enx00). From there, check the “Drivers & Software” section for the latest display driver or HP Display Control update.
  • Update graphics drivers: Visit NVIDIA or AMD’s official site (depending on your GPU) to download the latest graphics drivers, as these often resolve display issues.
  • Run HP Support Assistant: Open HP Support Assistant on your laptop and check for updates it can automatically locate and install the correct version of HP Display Control.
  • Windows Update: Make sure your system is fully updated, as some display components are delivered through Windows Update.
  • Uninstall/reinstall HP Display Control: If the software is already installed but malfunctioning, uninstall it from “Apps & Features” in Windows, then reinstall the latest version from HP’s website.

I hope this helps.

HI, thanks for the reply!

To answer your questions.......

My Pc is: All-in-One PC 24-ca1000a.  Yes, the alert occurs upon every start up.

When I run the HP Support assistant software that came with my PC, it says that there are no alerts or updates.

Then I went to the link you provided, imputed all the identification  info required, and still was informed that no updates were needed.

Now what??

Hi @OliverJr,

Thanks for your response.

I completely understand how frustrating this must feel especially when you’re seeing the same alert every time you start up.

Here’s what I’d suggest next:

  • Look at Startup Programs: The “Not Found” alert could be tied to a program or shortcut that’s trying to run at startup but no longer exists. You can open Task Manager > Startup tab and disable anything unfamiliar or unnecessary.
  • Event Viewer Logs: If you’re comfortable, open Event Viewer (search for it in the Start menu) and check under Windows Logs > Application to see if there’s a more detailed error message tied to the alert.
  • HP Support Assistant reinstall: Even though it reports no issues, sometimes reinstalling the tool itself clears persistent alerts. You can uninstall it from Apps & Features and then download the latest version from HP’s support site.

I hope this helps.

I don't believe this is the answer.  The problem is that HP Display wants to update but the file is not present at your website. It gets caught in a loop.  It is quite frustrating.  I am surprised this has not been fixed by now.
