Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my HP laptop where it suddenly shuts down after 20–30 minutes of use. The fan becomes very loud before shutdown, and the bottom panel feels extremely hot.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

  • Cleaned visible dust from vents

  • Updated BIOS and Windows

  • Checked Task Manager for high CPU usage

  • Placed laptop on a flat surface for airflow

The issue still happens, especially when running heavier applications or multiple browser tabs.

Could this be a thermal paste issue or internal dust buildup? I haven’t opened the laptop yet because I’m unsure about warranty impact.

Has anyone experienced something similar?
What would you recommend as the next troubleshooting step?

Any guidance  would be appreciated.

If temps are high then it can cause this. If you can do cleaning and repasting properly without any damage then it should not void warrenty. To confirm you can contact hp agent directly and ask about this and if they can send technician to your home for this.

Choose what you can do.
