Hi @LisaME1, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're trying to connect your All-in-One PC to your OMEN 27i Monitor as an external display, but it's not working. Here are some things to check:

Confirm Output Port on All-in-One PC

  • Most All-in-One PCs have HDMI input but not HDMI output, meaning they cannot send video to an external monitor.
  • Check the back or side of your PC for HDMI-out, DisplayPort-out, or USB-C with Display Output.

Check Connection Type

  • The OMEN 27i supports DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0.
  • If your All-in-One has HDMI-out, use an HDMI cable.
  • If it has DisplayPort-out, use a DisplayPort cable.
  • If it only has USB-C, check if it supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and use a USB-C to DisplayPort or HDMI adapter.

Switch Input on OMEN 27i

  • Press the menu button on the OMEN monitor.
  • Navigate to Input Source and select HDMI or DisplayPort, depending on your cable.

Force External Display Mode (Windows)

  • Connect your small monitor first to check settings.
  • Press Windows + P and select Second screen only.
  • Then, unplug the small monitor and connect the OMEN 27i.

Check Display Settings

  • Connect both monitors and go to Settings > System > Display.
  • Look for the OMEN monitor and set it as the main display.

Try a Different Cable

  • A faulty HDMI or DisplayPort cable can prevent a connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
