Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb2000 (90Q61AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Somehow, when I open Roblox to play a game, my laptop gets restarted, so it's quite worrying because It had been happening to me several times, and I don't know why...
I have all graphics drivers updated, AMD and NVIDIA

Also my ram it's working fine, I upgraded it to 32gb ram and I don't think it's the ram since It didn't showed me any problems the first weeks...

@noothsz, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Random restarts during gaming—especially consistent ones like when launching Roblox—are definitely a red flag. Since your RAM and drivers seem fine, let's break down possible causes and steps to diagnose/fix the issue on your Victus 15-fb2000:

🔎Check for Critical Errors in Event Viewer

This can tell us what happened right before the reboot.Steps:

  1. Press Win + X → Select Event Viewer.
  2. Go to Windows Logs → System.
  3. Look for entries with "Critical" or "Error" around the time of the reboot.
  4. Especially check for:
    • Kernel-Power (Event ID 41) → indicates unexpected shutdown (could be PSU, overheating, etc.)
    • BugCheck or WHEA Logger → hardware errors.

🌡Check for Overheating

Even a split-second thermal spike can cause a reboot, especially with Roblox being CPU-heavy at launch.Tools to use:

  • HWMonitor or Core Temp for CPU/GPU temps.
  • Radeon Software or GeForce Experience can also help.

💡 Tip: If temps shoot past 90°C and the system restarts, thermal protection is kicking in.

🧪Stress Test to Replicate Issue

Let’s see if your laptop reboots under stress.Try this:

  • Run FurMark (GPU) or Prime95 (CPU).
  • Also test with MemTest86 (bootable USB) just to rule out any subtle RAM issues.
  • Monitor temps and fan speed.

⚙️Power Plan & Fast Startup Settings

Sometimes, Windows fast startup causes conflict after driver/hardware changes.Try this:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
  • Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  • Uncheck "Turn on fast startup".

Also, try setting the power plan to High Performance or AMD Ryzen Balanced.

🧩BIOS & Chipset Drivers

You mentioned drivers are up-to-date, but double-check:

  • BIOS update from the HP Support website for your specific model (15-fb2000 series).
  • AMD chipset driver from AMD's site.

If there's a mismatch or outdated BIOS, that can cause issues when RAM is upgraded too.

🧯Disable Auto-Restart to Catch a BSOD

Sometimes, it's crashing to a blue screen too fast to see.To pause the reboot:

  1. Press Win + R → type sysdm.cpl → Enter.
  2. Go to Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings.
  3. Uncheck Automatically restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
