Hi @Camorton,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP All-in-One touchscreen PC suddenly went black and won’t turn back on, here are some steps to help diagnose and potentially fix the issue:
1. Check Power Supply
- Make sure the power cable is securely connected to both the PC and the wall outlet.
- Try a different power outlet.
- If you have a power adapter, check for any LED indicator—if it's off, the adapter might be faulty.
2. Perform a Hard Reset
- Unplug the power cord from the PC.
- Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and try turning it on.
3. Look for Signs of Life
- Do you hear fans spinning, beeps, or see LED lights?
- If yes, the screen might be the issue.
- If no, it could be a power or motherboard issue.
4. Try an External Monitor
If your model supports HDMI out:
- Connect an external monitor or TV.
- If the external display works, the built-in screen or backlight may be faulty.
5. BIOS or Hardware Reset (if accessible)
- Some HP All-in-Ones have a BIOS reset button or a CMOS battery that can be reset.
- Let me know your exact model number, and I can guide you through this.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
