Hi @JC-Simba

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing that. Having touchscreen issues on a brand-new system can feel pretty discouraging, but let’s walk through a few practical steps to help you restore full functionality.

Reboot the Omnibook: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Make sure to save your work before doing this.

Update Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Enter your model number to find the latest drivers for your Omnibook.
  • Download and install the touchscreen driver or any relevant updates.

Check Touchscreen Settings:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Go to "Hardware and Sound".
  • Select "Pen and Touch" and ensure that the touch settings are properly configured.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Type "Troubleshoot" in the Windows search bar and select it.
  • Choose "Additional troubleshooters".
  • Find and run the "Hardware and Devices" troubleshooter.

Inspect for Physical Damage: Ensure there are no visible damages on the screen which might interfere with its functionality.

Perform a System Restore: If the issue started recently, you might want to restore your system to an earlier point when the touchscreen was working.

If none of these restore your touchscreen, there might be a deeper configuration or hardware issue. Let me know how it goes.

You're not alone in this—let’s make sure that new Omnibook feels as reliable as it should.
