I would like to buy a new video card for my PC HP Victus 15l tg02-1002nl and specifically

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 WINDFORCE OC SFF 12GB. My curreny 500W are not enough. Can you please suggest a PSU that would fit and work fine? Thanks.

I think this table of power supplies and GPUs would be helpful

I recently got a 5070 and it came with a free game, Borderlands 4,  so you might shop around to find a bundle with a game. BTW, Newegg made it extremely difficult to activate that game before the offer expired..

@Diego318,

In addition to what my good friend @BeemerBiker shared, there are two additional compatible power supply upgrades you might consider:

650-watt power supply: p/n: L36049-003 / L57253-003 / L36048-003

700-watt power supply: p/n: L80662-002 / M09027-003

I contacted HP customer support and they strongly advised me against upgrading to an RTX 5070 because there would be compatibility issues with the motherboard and possibly the case dimensions. So, I won't proceed further with this topic. Thanks!

@Diego318,

That is a good point -various HP platforms are not compatible with Nvidia's RTX 50xx series graphics cards -or AMD's RX 90xx cards for that matter.  That may very well also include your Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-1xxx system.  And as a matter of fact, no RTX 50xx cards are being reported here: UserBenchmark: HP Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-1xxx Compatible Components, which is usually a good measuring stick if RTX 50xx cards are compatible or not.

You might to over to that Victus 15L youtube channel and ask about this problem and see if anyone has any experience with your exact model Victus.

As @NonSequitur777  mentioned, it is suspicious there are no benchmarks for the 5070
