Hi @bunny2802,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Which version of Windows are you currently running (Windows 10 or Windows 11, and the build number if possible)?
  • Did this issue start after a Windows update or a Gaming Hub update about a month ago?
  • Are you using any third‑party antivirus or security software that might be restricting permissions?

Troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check Windows account type
    • Go to Settings > Accounts > Your info and confirm that your account is listed as Administrator.
    • If you’re part of a domain or organization account, sometimes extra restrictions apply.
  2. Run Gaming Hub with elevated privileges
    • Right‑click the OMEN Gaming Hub shortcut → Properties → Compatibility tab → check Run this program as administrator.
    • Apply and restart the app.
  3. Verify OMEN Gaming Hub services
    • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and check if the OMEN Gaming Hub service is running. If it’s stopped, try starting it manually.
  4. Check Windows User Account Control (UAC)
    • Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings.
    • Set it to the default level (not “Always notify”), then restart your PC.
  5. Update drivers and BIOS
    • Use HP Support Assistant or the HP website to ensure your chipset, GPU, and BIOS are fully updated. Sometimes Optimizer features depend on these updates.
  6. Create a new test admin account
  • Add a new local administrator account and try running Gaming Hub there. This helps confirm if the issue is tied to your current profile.

I hope this helps.
