Hi @Kumar_15

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

To resolve these issues on your HP Omnibook X Flip, update the sensor and chipset drivers, enable tablet mode services, and adjust power and lock screen settings. These problems are often linked to driver conflicts or Windows settings after updates.

Here’s how to fix each issue step by step:

1. Auto Rotation Not Working

This is commonly caused by missing or disabled sensor drivers.

Check Rotation Lock:

  • Go to Settings > System > Display
  • Scroll down and ensure Rotation Lock is OFF
  • If the toggle is missing, the sensor driver may be inactive

Reinstall Sensor Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager
  • Expand Sensors or System Devices
  • Look for Kionix G-Sensor, Intel Sensor Hub, or similar
  • Right-click and choose Uninstall device, then restart your PC

Update Chipset and Sensor Drivers:

Enable Sensor Monitoring Service:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
  • Find Sensor Monitoring Service and set it to Automatic, then start it

2. On-Screen Keyboard Not Appearing in Tablet Mode

This usually happens when Windows doesn’t detect the device as a convertible.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard

  • Turn ON On-screen keyboard

Also check:

  • Settings > Devices > Typing
  • Enable Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet mode and no keyboard is attached

Restart the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service:

  • In services.msc, locate this service and set it to Automatic

3. Laptop Goes to Lock Screen Frequently

This is often due to aggressive power or screen timeout settings.

Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery > Screen and Sleep

  • Set Screen off and Sleep to longer durations or Never while plugged in

Check Sign-in Options:

  • Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options
  • Under If you've been away, set Never or increase the time

Reg issue #1 - none of the above helped. Found a fellow's response in one of the thread regarding installing additional driver AMD Sensor, that helped

Reg issue #2 - able to troubleshoot and fix

Reg issue #3 - the suggested option did not help. However, had to disable presence sensing and now the issue isn't there. But would have liked using presence sensing. How do I enable that without facing this issue?
