Having issues with this laptop that has a Snapdragon processor. It seems half baked and not ready for prime time.
Anybody else having these issues listed down below or other experiences? I have already installed the Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn ARM64 ones from that page.
One: The Xbox App is set to Cloud Gaming only, just like as if it was a Surface Pro X tablet. So frustrating. It's not a tablet, and it's not even a 2 in 1. So no casual Xbox PC Game Pass or Games I own can be installed.
Possibly related, the Xbox Insider App installs and starts, but just sits at the swirly circle forever.
Two: Supposedly has a "PRISM Emulator" that allows it to run some non ARM64 programs, but I can't tell if it is doing anything or not, no visibility on it whatsoever.
Three: Related to point Two probably. There are a ton of programs that either won't install or won't run at all after installing (immediate crash or never starts) or run very poorly. There are a ton of programs/games in the Windows Store that state "Not compatible with your processor". Does this mean they won't work because they have been already tested with the PRISM emulator or is something just wrong here and we can't even try for some reason?
On the plus side, the battery life is amazing (losing 1 percent battery in sleep mode for seven hours is a highlight). The form factor (size, thickness, weight) is great. The touchscreen is good. The kill chain (From Sleep-Open lid-windows hello IR camera login-back to working almost instantly) works very well. If I can get some of these kinks worked out, this will be my "always goes with me" device easily.
