Hi @Marlene811,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing a paper jam with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 and can't locate the jam, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check the Input Tray:
    • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
    • Remove any loose or stuck paper from the input tray.
    • Reload the input tray with clean, dry paper.

  2. Access the Carriage Area:
    • Open the front access door carefully. Wait for the carriage to move to the center of the printer.
    • If there's any visible jammed paper, gently pull it out without tearing it.
    • Move the carriage to ensure it can move freely and is not stuck by any small pieces of paper.

  3. Check the Duplexer (if applicable):
    • Remove the duplexer at the rear of the printer if your model is equipped with one.
    • Look for and remove any paper jammed in that area.
    • Reattach the duplexer securely.

  4. Inspect the Output Tray:
    • Pull out the output tray and check for any jammed paper beneath it.
    • Remove any paper you find under the output tray.

  5. Inspect the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF):
    • Lift the ADF cover and check for any paper stuck in that area.
    • Gently remove any paper if found.

  6. Close All Doors and Reconnect:
    • Close any open doors on the printer, ensuring they are securely shut.
    • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

  7. Perform a Test Print:
    • Once the printer is turned on, perform a test print to ensure all jams are cleared and that the printer operates smoothly.

If all these steps fail to resolve the paper jam, or if you suspect pieces of paper are still stuck internally, it might be best to contact HP support for further assistance.
