Microsoft Windows 11

My computer freezes and says

Blue Screen and "device ran into problems and needs to restart"

restart computer runs fine for a while

Blue Screen and "Hard Disk (3F0) Please install operating system"

I can see the drive in the BIOS,

I can see the drive in Device Manager,

If I try to re-install, Windows installation does not see the driver and asks for a driver.

Windows O.S. has ALL the latest updates

Looks like the windows is using a generic drivers dated from 2006.

I  tried to look for one here and on the samsung site can't find the driver or firmware.... just some Magician Funk that does not detect the drive.

Samsung AI cutie says this drive is discontinued.

I think if I can find the driver or firmware for PM991/PM991a

I might fix this.

This has been one of those nightmares... I should be used to it. ;0(

@SickAndTiredTec,

What is the full model number or product number of your PC?

If your model comes with an Intel 11th-13th gen processor, you need to supply Intel RST storage driver to the Windows installer, otherwise it doesn't detect the storage drive to install Windows on.
