@Tom902, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP All-in-One Desktop (27-cr0000a, Windows 11) is showing "Something happened and your PIN isn't available," and you're unable to log in using your password or PIN, here are several solutions you can try:
Option 1: Sign in with Password Instead of PIN
- On the login screen, click "Sign-in options" below the PIN box.
- Choose the password icon (usually a key).
- Enter your Microsoft account password (or local account password).
- If your password isn't working or is also rejected, proceed to the next steps.
Option 2: Restart & Try Safe Mode
- On the sign-in screen, hold Shift and click Power > Restart.
- Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
- Choose:
- Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- When you see options, press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
- Try signing in again with your password or reconfiguring the PIN.
Option 3: Reset PIN from Safe Mode or Normal Mode
If you're able to sign in using your password (after Safe Mode or from sign-in options):
- Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
- Under PIN (Windows Hello), choose Remove.
- After removing, restart the PC.
- Go back and choose Set up PIN again.
Option 4: Reset Microsoft Account Password Online
If you're using a Microsoft account and the password isn't accepted:
- Visit https://account.live.com/password/reset.
- Follow the instructions to reset your password.
- Try logging in again using the new password, then reconfigure the PIN.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
