Welcome to the HP English Community --
Problems connecting the printer is likely more about your printer and how it connects to your network (or computer) and less about the brand of computer.
On the computer side, perhaps verify
- The printer is supported in the version of Windows you are running
- The computer is on the same network as is the printer
- Bluetooth (if needed for the initial connection) is running
- VPN is switched off
- If needed for the connection, switch on Network Discovery
The following is relevant to an HP printer.
Some of the content is not printer brand specific and might be useful.
HP printer is offline or not responding
What to do?
Your best option is to check with Canon Printer Support
