HP All-in-One - 22-dd0010
Microsoft Windows 11

I am upgrading my HP All-in-One which currently has only 4.00 GB (3.42 GB usable) RAM.

I want to verify that this is the correct RAM before I purchase it.

Crucial - DDR4 - kit - 32
GB: 2 x 16 GB - SO-DIMM 260-pin - 2400 MHz / PC4-19200 - CL17 - 1.2 V - unbuffered - non-ECC

This is the other option I am considering:

CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Memory Kit Model CMK32GX4M2A2400C14

I'd like to get the computer as fast as possible. If you have another recommendation, please let me know.

Hi @peter_fn

According to the specifications of the motherboard does not support 32 Gb, supports 16 GB and memory is 260 pin, you can not use 288 pin memory as you indicate in the CORSAIR Vengeance memories.

Thank you. I went to the Crusial site and ran their tool to get a recommendation. I choose their recommended dd-3200 solution, but the HP chat suggested I use dd-2400 for this device. Will I be okay with the dd-3200? This is what I purchased.

You can put those memories but you will not have any improvement on the frequency, never the frequency of a memory can exceed the frequency that supports the CPU, and the CPU of the laptop does not support more than 2400.

So what will happen with DDR4-3200 is that the memory BUS that regulates the memory frequency will decrease the frequency from 3200 to 2400, but if you already bought it, you should use that 3200.

Thanks. Would I have done better to purchase the other one? I think I can still cancel the order. The price difference wasn't significant, but the 3200 was a little cheaper.

No problem you can use the 3200, maybe in the future buy a PC that fully supports the 3200 and you can use it, and if it has a better price that is the most important thing.

it works the same, there is no difference only that you should know that you will not see 3200 but the 2400, it is an information not to return the part later, thinking that it is defective.
