Hi - The OMEN 35L Gaming DT GT16-0035 that I received from H.P. is equipped with Kingston FURY 32GB DDR5- 5600MT/s. according to Task Manager.

The product information sheet specifies that this model should be supplied with Kingston FURY 32 GB DDR5-6000 MT/s

Has anyone else had this problem.

Hi @ikroni

It depends on the processor and motherboard; the frequency may vary even if you have DDR5-6000 installed.

Hey, Thanks for the response.

2 Points to consider :

1.  The Spec 6000MT/s  listed was specific to this machine.

www8.hp.com/h20195/V2/GetPDF.aspx/c09126857

2. The only 5600MT/s modules is for 64gGB configuration.

The link doesn't work, but I can tell you that the specifications are often incorrect and the frequency on these machines tends to decrease depending on the processor

If the BIOS does not allow you to increase the frequency, you can forget about changing that frequency.

So I am reaching out to the community to see if anyone else with the same machine will see their 6000mt/s RAM as showing up as 5600MTz RAM in their Device manager.

I suspect this machine was originally configured as a 64GB option and been cut down for quick sale.

There was no configuration for a 32gb Ram with 5600MT/s option for this model

The first thing you should do is write the model correctly. It probably has letters at the end, or enter the product number. Then indicate your processor.

Thanks  (Maybe try a different browser the link works fine for me in firefox.)

see the bottom of the page,  It's in the BIOS, in advanced settings there's no option to increase the frequency, memory can't go to 6000.

[48] Installed memory is actually DDR5 6000 MT/s but may run as DDR5 4400 MT/s depending on memory support capability of Intel. Max memory overclocking speed can be achieved up-to 6000 MT/s via BIOS.

So in effect you are saying that this complete range of computers has been sold to consumers under misleading/ambiguous circumstances.

Why would they offer 6000MH/s option if they knew!!!

Nice one H.P.

HP Recommended

Well, it says there what frequency it runs at, they put in 6000 memories, because the user can change the CPU  in these models and maybe change the frequency. They specify on the page what frequency it can run at, I don't see any deception in that.
