My laptop ran out of battery and the charger doesn't seem to be working. I've used it last night and it was okay, it just stopped charging all of a suden.

Hi @ARJCT
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for explaining the situation—it's understandably concerning when a device suddenly stops charging after working fine.
Let’s walk through a few steps that may help resolve this:
1. Check the Power Adapter and Cable
- Inspect the charger for any visible damage, bent pins, or fraying.
- If possible, test the charger with another compatible device to confirm it's functioning.
- Try a different wall outlet to rule out power source issues.
2. Inspect the Charging Port
- Use a soft brush or compressed air to gently clean the USB-C charging port.
- Look for any debris or obstruction that might be preventing a proper connection.
3. Perform a Power Reset
- Disconnect the charger and any peripherals.
- Press and hold the power button for 30–40 seconds to discharge residual power.
- Reconnect the charger and check for any LED activity near the port.
4. Run Hardware Diagnostics
- Power on the laptop and repeatedly press F2 to enter HP Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run the battery and AC adapter tests to check for hardware faults.
5. Update BIOS and Drivers
- Visit the HP Spectre x360 - 13-ac076nr support page and check for any available BIOS or chipset updates.
- Install updates carefully and restart the device.
If none of these steps restore charging, the issue may lie with the internal power connector or the battery itself. If needed, I can guide you through checking warranty options or service procedures.
Let me know how it goes—we’ll take it one step at a time.
If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution! ✅ It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
