Product: HP EliteBook 840 G3 Base Model Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP laptop has missing DMI/Feature Byte in BIOS. This caused the speakers and microphone to stop working. I need advice if I must visit an HP Service Center or if there is an official way to restore the DMI.

Thank you for reaching out to us. There is no supported end-user or public HP method to restore a missing DMI / Feature Byte on an HP EliteBook 840 G3.

 

We would request you to contact our HP support for getting repair assitance on the issue. Our support team should  be able to assist you further on this.
